Jacques the Peacock

Lily got a new toy recently, Jacques the Peacock. It must be the combination of color, texture and sound that have made it one of her new favorites. She's definitely going to wear this one out!

Favorite Toys

This week I pulled out a few toys that we were given as gifts for Lily and she has loved them! The musical star stacker has been a huge hit, along with a fish tummy time mat. She's also been really enjoying laying in her crib watching and listening to her musical mobile spin. Anything musical, Lily loves!

11 Weeks

Lily is almost 3 months old! Hard to believe she's been in the outside now for that long. We love her so much and have such an awesome time watching her grow and develop. She changes everyday and gets more and more interactive. Lately she's been grabbing things and loves to kick and take steps with her little legs while we hold her up. She's a determined little baby and can sit up straight on her own now and loves any toy that plays music. Here are few new pictures at 11 weeks!

Good thing my new soft blanket arrived in time for my most recent growth spurt! The last two days I've been one tired girl.

Baths are the Best!

Oh yes, we've come a long way since that first bath back in December! The last few bath times have shown us a new Lily. She now loves to splash and squirm in the water and even soaked mommy in her bath tonight. We get such a huge kick out it! Here are a few pictures of our little fish enjoying her time in the water.

She Laughs!

What a sweet Valentine's Day we had this year. Jeremy and me spent time reminiscing about the previous Valentine's Days we've shared, cooked dinner together and enjoyed flowers, candy and cards. We've spent each Valentine's Day in a different place---either a new state, home or in a new place in life. The first year, an over-the-top fancy dinner in Minneapolis, all the way to this year in Texas with a new baby.

Definitely different than previous Valentine's Days, but equally enjoyable to reflect on our growing family and a new kind of love. The thing we will probably both remember most from this year is hearing our little Valentine laugh for the first time while Jer played and talked to her before she fell asleep. Talk about a gift!

My Valentines...

2 Month Well-Check

This morning we took Lily in for her 2 month check up. At the last visit, a little over a month ago she weighed in at 7 pounds 16 ounces. Today she weighed in at 10 pounds 8 ounces! She's up to 23 1/2 inches long, putting her in the 90th percentile for height. She's now in 3-6 month sleepers because of her height, so this did not suprise us! Everything is right on track and we have a healthy, happy, beautiful baby girl!
